Über Muhammad Ali sind schon unendlich viele Worte verloren werden.Bei diesem unglaublich hohen Input,auch auf dem deutschen Buchmarkt,war es irgendwann schwer die Spreu vom Weizen zu trennen.Von daher bin ich für die Leser,die fast ausschließlich deutschsprachige Bücher lesen,glücklich verkünden zu können,dass nach meiner Einschäzung ultimative Buch über Muhammad Ali seit einigen Monaten endlich auf deutsch erschienen ist.Denn das Buch von Thomas Hauser beinhaltet alles,dass für mich eine gute Biographie ausmacht.Der wichtigste Punkt ist:Es ist keine reine Lobeshymne auf Ali.Man merkt dem Autor durchaus seine Sympathien für Ali an.Gleichzeitig jedoch lässt er auch all diejenigen zu Wort kommen,die seine Karriere mitgeprägt haben.Darunter sind auch einige,die von ihm durchaus unfaier behandelt wurden.Ebenso war nicht jeder Schritt in seinem Leben besonder heroisch.Auf diese Seiten weist dieses Buch durchaus hin und sorgt daher für eine umfassende Darstellung einer interessanten und charismaischen Persönlichkeit,die für die afroamerikanische Gesellschaft von besonderer Bedeutung war und immer nch ist.
